Christian has already replied to the comment made - that this is not related to trigger-generated keys.

And since it is "just" a sequence generator that you can add easily to any
hibernate
distribution I fail to see how it stops you from using it as is ?

It doesnt. But nonetheless, I was hoping to extract some comment like "can be accepted", "cannot be accepted", "will be accepted by x.y release" etc. :-)

btw. submitting patches with non-lgpl copyright statements in the header
is bad style ;)

This was not widely known in January when I submitted the patch ;)
