Hi, I just wanted to let you know, I wrote a new free/open source Java database engine 'H2' (for Hypersonic 2), it's now available at http://www.h2database.com. The database has similar features as HSQLDB, plus some more (clustering, a better optimizer, faster startup, BLOB/CLOB, large resultset, updatable cursors...). Maybe some of you don't have anything to do next week, so you might be interested to test Hibernate with H2? :-) Anyway, I will make sure Hibernate works well with Hibernate, so this mail is only FYI. I hope nobody gets angry because I send this to your mailing list... I will not do that again, I promise!
