Lets ponder together...

Assalamu alaikum:

Praise be to Allah, Who created (out of nothing) the heavens and the earth, Who made the angels, messengers with wings,- two, or three, or four (pairs): He adds to Creation as He pleases: for Allah has power over all things. [35:1]

Alhamdullilah, Ramadan was a success, and a blessed Eid that was for us (and for everyone)but was it?

My other sisters and brothers who sent emails around encouraging our Ummah to be forthright in giving kindness and love for everyone especially to the reverts or those who did not have family here in a non-Muslim country, away from their loved oneswere we?

My boys and I made the Eid morning prayers only to learn of Eid celebration activities on the later prayers. We also missed the activities that were planned at another masjid that targeted the children. There were a lot of invitations to peoples homes and a recent after-Eid activity this past weekend. I was told that the "community" was having the celebration. I asked in disbelief, "I am Muslim, what community is that?"whats going on?

Go back!

Those words above have been said to me by unbelievers; it was strange to hear a revert tell me (I met her a few years back) that those same words were said to her by other Muslim (men) after her divorce. I am divorced now, with two boys who consider themselves (and will do untold things to you if you say to them otherwise) Muslims.

Go back to what?!

That sister, myself (and other sisters or brothers who may be experiencing problems) will be forever Muslims because we reverted, we married, and we birthed Muslim children.  The world already recognize us as "those Muslims"; why are strange words such as 'go back' coming from you!?

We cannot "go back"; we will forever be Muslims (whatever the circumstance). Now with my divorce, I feel alone now having to deal with the stupidity of the non-believers (though problems not as intense as before), and from my own Muslims who regard my divorce-state as possibly "unacceptable" or shameful. I am not ashamed of anything.  Allah Subhannu wa Taala is my judge.

Then Praise be to Allah, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth,- Lord and Cherisher of all the Worlds! [45:36]

This past Ramadan was a fulfilling spiritual time for me. It was a more peaceful time for me; but not without a few trials.

I felt alone (at times). Some of my sisters (and maybe brothers did this too to others) made it a point to spoil our Eid (and few days of our Ramadan). Why would you do that? How can you go to prayer at taraweeh or open fast and then do mean things? Who were you praying to if not Allah Taala? May Allah purify your hearts, and remind you of His promise to Jennah for being true Muslims!

I also lost my job. I lost my job because of someone elses lies (kuffir). After having to resign my job, and reporting the person who caused me to lose my job, I found out that the whole scenario seems to be leaning towards that fact of me being Muslim. The other factor is that I did my teaching program in Florida.  Apparently during the same time as "you know who" did their aviation training in Florida.  Whether or not this is so, I have been hearing ridiculous things about me and the central theme that comes up all the time is "Florida" and insinuations that I was not educated here in the United States.  To confirm this supposition further, I just recently applied for a teaching job in California, but the person interested in hiring me called me on my cellphone to inform me that "it keeps coming up" that I did not complete my Masters teaching program (which I did); therefore, I had to get a written letter (which I did) from someone in my teachers program from Florida as proof that I did obtain my Masters degree there. Incredibly, not even an unofficial (and maybe an official) copy of your transcript may be able to prove who you are and what you have completed!

Why dont I sue them, or something? I am waiting to see "what happens next". I have a written letter from the Superintendent of Licensing who states that I should receive my license on completion of a single coursework (that I have agreed upon with them) while I complete my doctoral program. But, YES, I do need to find out who is telling my potential employers untruths!

Go back to what? Where? How?

Whatever is in the heavens and on earth, doth declare the Praises and Glory of Allah. to Him belongs dominion, and to Him belongs praise: and He has power over all things. [64:1]

My purpose of writing my complaints is what I am facing with the very people that I need support from and that is you my Muslims (not the ones who are working with the kuffar against Muslims). If we are not supportive of each other, whether we are reverts or native-born Muslims, we need each other.

I recently saw a documentary on Palestine. Do you know that if the jews decide to close down a street, the Muslims have to wait until the jews decide to reopen the road?  Isnt this a form of apartheid?

What are we doing to the people of Sudan?

What about Iraq?

What about people like me?  If you can turn your backs on others abroad while on your cushioned seats, why would I expect any help from you?  Do you know that I may need help, or care?

I cannot understand why the outside world is "dealing with the Muslims" with no real leadership or input from the people who really need to get involved--us!  We have royalty, presidents, etc. loaded with the money and influence to try to obtain peace in Iraq (and the withdrawal of foreign troops), etc.; but no one is saying anything.  And now, why would you help me?

No Arab summit; no contacting the UN; no arranged meetings with the US President on his views of the status of Muslims here in the US; no workshops; no national conferences; no peace marches; no special day of prayer; no nothing.

No problem about people like me who need to take care of their families, right? No place for divorced women especially reverts--go get married,

or go back!

Praise be Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth, and made the darkness and the light. Yet those who reject Faith hold (others) as equal, with their Guardian-Lord. [6:1]

Say: Praise be to Allah, and Peace on his servants whom He has chosen (for his Message). (Who) is better?- Allah or the false gods they associate (with Him)? [27:59]

Inshaallah, I want all the masjids to become more cohesive and reduce the influence of the kuffar.  Inshaallah, we need to:

Have special committees and programs for (welcoming and keeping) reverts;

Have programs for those seeking counseling such as domestic situations, divorce, and other problems;

Job placement and workshops

Hotlines

Websites (displaying upcoming events from ALL local masjids or musallahs) for ALL of the local Muslim community;

If not local mailing lists of ALL Muslims; email addresses and notifications of ALL Muslims (not just your friends). [There should also be a sign-in book at all masjids for new resident Muslims.]

If we believe in Allah Taala as Al-Ahad, we should ALL be as one!

Bear, then, with patience, all that they say, and celebrate the praises of thy Lord, before the rising of the sun and before (its) setting. [50:39]
