"It is the tradition of your father Ibrahim. For every hair of the Qurbani, you will receive a reward from Allah." - Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Qurbani means 'sacrifice'When Allah told the prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) to sacrifice his son Ismail, they were both willing to follow Allah's command. Having thus proven their faith, Allah told them to sacrifice an animal instead. As Muslims, Allah has told us to perform qurbani. And we do so to honour Ibrahim and Ismail's spirit of self-sacrifice. Allah has also told us to give qurbani meat to the poor. With Islamic Relief, your qurbani and mine will reach places where it'll really make a difference. Last year over 800,000 poor people across 20 countries received Qurbani meat from Islamic Relief. This was only possible thanks to people like you. Let's do all we can to help them even more this year. This year, let's aim to reach more than one million people with Qurbani meat! It's so easy, you can do your Qurbani right now!
