Dear Brothers and Sisters
Assalam Alaikom,
The General Council for Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions
(GCIBFI) would like to extend its best wishes, and introduce itself
to you as an autonomous non-profit corporate body that globally
represents Islamic financial industry. It was incorporated in
Bahrain under the Ameeri Decree No. (23).
It is our pleasure to inform you that we are in the final stages to
issue a new professional Islamic magazine under the title "Al
Majlis". The pre-launch issue of this magazine is to come out on
February 2005.
Al Majlis will be published monthly as a bilingual magazine (Arabic-
English), and will, hopefully, be as a forum for Islamic bankers and
financiers all over the world to transfer existing practices and
utilized modes of operations. In addition, Al Majlis will be as a
professional platform to introduce new practical ideas of Islamic
banking and financial operations.
We intend to widely distribute the pre-launch issue to concerned
institutions all over the world. We are continuing our efforts to
endorse sponsors for (JIMBFO) whom will be offered permanent place
for their logo, one-page full-colored advertisement and a profile
for their institutions as credit for their contribution.
It will be a great honor for us to have your contribution with
applied articles, essays, and reports especially prepared to be
incorporated in the special pre-launch issue.
We are looking forward to hearing your responses
Kindest Regards
Naser Al Ziyadat
