The Muslim American Society (MAS) chapters of the Washington, DC, metropolitan area have organizing �The First Capital Area Islamic Conference�, an entire day event taking place on February 27, 2005.

 

Entitled �Fulfilling the Mission�, the conference will have training workshops, lectures, a banquet, and live entertainment. The conference program is designed to benefit all members of the family, with separate programs for the youth and children.

 

The conference will also feature Sami Yusuf, a renowned British Muslim singer whose songs have inspired millions of young Muslims, performing for only his second time in the U.S. and first time in Washington, DC, and Preacher Moss, a nationally recognized comedian currently on his "Allah Made Me Funny" Tour, who has appeared on Politically Incorrect and Nightline.

 

Conference speakers and guests include Abdallah Idris, Dr. Esam Omeish (MAS President), Imam Mahdi Bray (MAS Freedom Foundation Executive Director), Hadia Mubarak (President of MSA National), Rida Beshir (author of �Parenting in the West�), and Preacher Moss.
