EVERYTHING IS ON LOAN.

I was once asked to list out my belongings. I proudly wrote my family. Some of my friends listed their cats, motorcycles, houses, shares and anything else that they could think of.

I have a pen; my students gave it to me as a present on Teachers Day. Its a very cute pen with the words Selamat Hari Guru. (Happy Teachers Day) written on it. I was so happy that someone recognized me as a teacher, one of the noblest jobs in the world. Although its not that expensive because I saw the price in a shop, I was very happy. I still keep the pen.

I was once asked, what if you lend your favourite pen to someone? And then that person lost that pen? Would you feel angry and sad? Yes, I would. Even though its just a pen. It has sentimental value and its my favourite.

I was once also asked if someone took my loved ones, would I be angry or sad? I think I would surely be heart broken. Sad, my life wont ever be the same again. I met someone who lied to me. Everything from him was 2000% true lies. Unfortunately, I believed him and left me without mercy. I felt so bad and hurt that I just thought of nothing but revenge. But I didnt take revenge because I just didnt want to be like him. My friend said, Success is the best revenge.

I have also been asked, Are you sure that pen is yours? and Are you sure that your loved ones are yours forever?.

Everything in this world is not ours. We are just borrowing it from Someone that is Most Loving and Caring so that we can live our lives happily with everything that He has lent us.

He lent us the trees, rivers, seas, mountain, buildings, jobs, degrees, masters, friends, family and much more, the list never ends. He even lends us our lives.

He can take everything back whenever He wants. We have our houses, cars, motorcycles, computers, laptops, friends, lovers, sisters, brothers, husbands, wives, fathers, mothers and children. They are not ours forever. It is depressing to think that they will vanish one day, but they will. We will be gone one day, too. We are only borrowing them from Him. They are all His, and of course we have to take care of them as ours.

Bear in mind, that they are all our responsibility. Someone gave them to us temporarily to be taken care of. Someone who is the Most Powerful, Most Merciful and The most Gracious. Do you dare think of letting Him down? He created us as clean as a white cloth. What has happened to us now?

Please, if someone ever asks you to list out your assets or maybe to fill in the Borang Pengisytiharan Harta (declaration of assets form), well, think twice.
