Propaganda in the USA

The Rand corporations propaganda against Muslims, Orwellian mind control,
and U.S. propaganda of the Gulf War.

Sixty-four years ago this month, six million Americans became unwitting
subjects in an experiment in psychological warfare. It was the night before
Halloween, 1938. At 8 p.m. CST, the Mercury Radio on the Air began
broadcasting Orson Welles' radio adaptation of H. G. Wells' War of the
Worlds. As is now well known, the story was presented as if it were
breaking news, with bulletins so realistic that an estimated one million
people believed the world was actually under attack by Martians. Of that
number, thousands succumbed to outright panic, not waiting to hear Welles'
explanation at the end of the program that it had all been a Halloween
prank, but fleeing into the night to escape the alien invaders.

Full text of Human Rights Record of the US in 2004

In 2004 the atrocity of US troops abusing Iraqi POWs exposed the dark side
of human rights performance of the United States. The scandal shocked the
humanity and was condemned by the international community. It is quite
ironic that on Feb. 28 of this year, the State Department of the United
States once again posed as the "the world human rights police" and released
its Country Reports on Human Rights Practices for 2004. As in previous
years, the reports pointed fingers at human rights situation in more than
190 countries and regions (including China) but kept silent on the US
misdeeds in this field. Therefore, the world people have to probe the human
rights record behind the Statue of Liberty in the United States.

HEAD OF AIPAC BOASTED OVER HIS CONTROL OF THE WHITE HOUSE IN 1992

In 1992, AIPAC Harry Katz phoned the President of AIPAC, David Steiner, to
offer contributions. Steiner proceeded to make several claims, including
negotiating with then-candidate Bill Clinton over who would be Secretary of
State, and had already "cut a deal" with Baker for more aid to Israel.

Panel Ignored Evidence on Detainee

A military tribunal determined last fall that Murat Kurnaz, a German
national seized in Pakistan in 2001, was a member of al Qaeda and an enemy
combatant whom the government could detain indefinitely at the U.S.
military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
The three military officers on the panel, whose identities are kept secret,
said in papers filed in federal court that they reached their conclusion
based largely on classified evidence that was too sensitive to release to
the public.

In fact, that evidence, recently declassified and obtained by The
Washington Post, shows that U.S. military intelligence and German law
enforcement authorities had largely concluded there was no information that
linked Kurnaz to al Qaeda, any other terrorist organization or terrorist
activities.

New Details on F.B.I. Aid for Saudis after 9/11

"Hey guys, I gotta idea. You'll love this one! After Ariel's boys knock
over the towers, we ship out a bunch of Saudis, tell 'em it's for their own
good, see, and make them look guilty as hell, right? I mean, they got oil
too, right? After we knock off Iraq and Iran, then we frame Saudi Arabia
for 9-11 and invade. I mean we can pull the 'nookular weapons' con on Iraq
and Iran, but let's not press our luck!"

The Long Emergency - What's going to happen as we start running out of
cheap gas to guzzle?

By James Howard Kunster

Carl Jung, one of the fathers of psychology, famously remarked that "people
cannot stand too much reality." What you're about to read may challenge
your assumptions about the kind of world we live in, and especially the
kind of world into which events are propelling us. We are in for a rough
ride through uncharted territory.

Bush's remarkable triumphs: He burns them to death with chemical weapons

U.S. President George W. Bush often complains about the "media filter" that
distorts the true picture of his administration's accomplishments in Iraq.
And he's right. For regardless of where you stand on Bush's policies in the
region, it's undeniable that the political and commercial biases of the
American press have consistently misrepresented the reality of the situation.

Army Admits Violating Geneva Convention

Army Probe Finds Abuse at Jail Near Mosul

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Newly released government documents say the abuse of
prisoners in Iraq by U.S. forces was more widespread than previously
reported. An officer found that detainees ``were being systematically and
intentionally mistreated'' at a holding facility near Mosul in December
2003. The 311th Military Intelligence Battalion of the Army's 101st
Airborne Division ran the lockup.

Haunted by a night in Fallujah

It was only in November that the men of the 3rd squad were young, quips of
wit and dumb-luck fearlessness spark-ing from their mouths. In the
white-hot center of the battle of Fallujah they were dousing their fear
with good fortune and jokes.

11 days that led Britain to war

Each drip of information about the legal advice behind the Government's
decision to commit Britain to the invasion of Iraq has only fuelled
suspicions about the road to war, say Raymond Whitaker and James Hanning.
But each attempt by Downing Street to block the release of any documents
moves the focus from the Attorney General and back to the doors of No 10,
where the fateful decisions were taken

Ernest Zundel Guilty Of Thought Crimes
It does not really matter to me if Zundel is right or wrong. His
controversial investigations into the Holocaust are certainly interesting,
but are ultimately unimportant. What really is important is the freedom to
believe or say whatever one wants. Some people believe Global Warming is a
joke; other folks believe astrology is a science. They may be right, they
may be wrong. Neither belief should be a crime. How can you legally hold
someone responsible for an incorrect belief?
