Agree! Kenapa ek? Melayu sendiri suka kata melayu malas... oh! just
because the british brought the chinese and the indians into Tanah
Melayu, orang Melayu malas ker? Come on lah... when you go to Malta,
you love it because the view is fascinating, the people friendly and
the lifestyle 'laid-back'... bila kena kat european, it is termed as
laid-back? tapi bila kena kat malaysians? Malay in particular?
Malas? Please lah... Malas is a sifat... sifat is universal... it
can be in anyone regardless of nationality and race.. ingat American
rajin sangat ker? French? Italian? British? Rajin ker? U go to Rome
and tell me who is selling drinks and fruits outside the Colosseum?
Are they Italians? or... ahhh... Indians and Bangladeshis with cute
indian-italian accent... oh.. then u say.. see... the indians and
bangladeshis are the rajin ppl.. correction, they travelled and
migrated because they have no choice... we? we do not have problems
as they have in their countries, but hey... dont we have some malays
in cape town too? oh well.. there were few brave malays who opted to
go out of the country, maybe even much earlier before the great
expedition of the famous Munsyi Abdullah around the Malay Penisular?
Oh geez... what does Munsyi Abdullah and Cek Det has in common eh?
Aren't they both non-malays?.. mamak right? them both? no-offense to
the mamak clan..

You see, you compare the Malays with the non-malays in this
country... of course they seemed to be M.A.L.A.S.. why not compare
you yourselves who you think as so R.A.J.I.N. with the Malays
outside the country.. outside the country means... not just gone for
studying or visiting... those who migrated ... u think u r so rajin?
the same is the scenario if you compare the indians here and the
indians in India and the chinese here and the chinese in china...
when u r not in ur homeland, the feeling is different when u r in ur
own homeland and when u r in a foreign land, alone and no one to
rely on but yourself... u have to struggle to build ur own 'empire',
ur 'legacy', the proof of ur being.. away from the homeland... that
is why the need for u to push urself up is much greater than when u
r at ur own homeland...

Neways, i have said my piece. For me... malas is not a label only
for the malays... malas is in everyone in the world regardless of
geographical, psychological and cultural boundaries. Thus, if the
malays do not run a business or involve in business or own a
business... they are malas? hmm... i dont own a business, nor i run
a business, hmm... not also i mind other ppl's business... hmm... am
i malas?

maybe i am malas... eventually... malas nak layan pemikiran negatif
derang nih!
