DC RADIO HOST SAYS 'ISLAM IS A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION'

Ask WMAL to reprimand Michael Graham for 'hate-filled' remarks

CAIR says it has received complaints today from Muslim listeners who heard
WMAL-AM's Michael Graham state: 1. "Islam is a terrorist organization." 2.
"Islam is at war with America." 3. "The problem is not extremism. The
problem is Islam." 4. "We are at war with a terrorist organization named
Islam."

Last year, CAIR challenged on-air remarks by Graham that seemed to make an
implicit call for violence against Muslims. He said: "I don't wanna say we
should kill 'em all [Muslims], but unless there's reform [within Islam],
there aren't a lot of other solutions that work in the ground struggle for
survival." (Graham later claimed he was only referring to so-called
"Islamists," but the context of the quote indicated otherwise.)

Graham also said: "Would you hire an Arab-Muslim group for a friend's
daughter's Bat Mitzvah, I wouldn't, if you would you're a dope, that's not
bigotry, that completely reasonable smart discrimination." Graham's remarks
were highlighted in the announcement of CAIR's "Hate Hurts America"
campaign designed to counter anti-Muslim hate on radio talk shows. SEE:

The Real Double Standard On Islam

The Day's recent July 20 editorial castigating the worldwide Muslim
community for its failure to condemn the terrorist attacks in London was
not surprising. Over the past week, The Day's editorial pages have been
littered with similar sentiments expressed by the usual suspects
demanding apologies from every Muslim in the world for the crimes of a few.

Who's taking blame for Christian violence?

Now that imams in Britain and Canada are standing up and publicly
condemning terrorist acts as anti-Muslim and against the teachings in the
Qur'an, I wonder if pressure might be put on Christian leaders to take a
similar stand.

Bush is Not an American

Some of the die-hard, rabid right-wingers who still support George W.
Bush’s immoral and illegal actions tried recently to overload my email
system by flooding it with bitches and moans over recent columns about

FLASHBACK: This war on terrorism is bogus

We now know that a blueprint for the creation of a global Pax Americana was
drawn up for Dick Cheney (now vice-president), Donald Rumsfeld (defence
secretary), Paul Wolfowitz (Rumsfeld's deputy), Jeb Bush (George Bush's
younger brother) and Lewis Libby (Cheney's chief of staff). The document,
entitled Rebuilding America's Defences, was written in September 2000 by
the neoconservative think tank, Project for the New American Century (PNAC).

Pentagon Blocks Release of Abu Ghraib Images: Here's Why

Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld told Congress last year, after viewing a
large cache of unreleased images: "I mean, I looked at them last night, and
they're hard to believe.” They show acts "that can only be described as
blatantly sadistic, cruel and inhumane," he added.

The Iraqi Resistance Is Prepared For Ten Year War

An Interview with a top Baath party official

Salah al Mukhtar, 61, lives currently in Yemen, but underscores that his
stay is a "temporary" one, as he is convinced that one day he will return
to Iraq and that it will be to an Iraq governed again by Baath. Arabmonitor
obtained a thorough interview with al Mukhtar, one of the top-ranking
personalities among the Iraqi émigré community.

Administration lied to start war

quite frankly, after hearing the testimony given at Rep. Conyers' Hearing
today on the Downing Street memo, I'm surprised there isn't more outrage
that our current administration lied to start the illegal war in Iraq.

Seventeen hundred young servicemen and women and countless Iraqi civilians
have died, and for what?

A lie. Actually, several lies.

Is lying about the reason for a war an impeachable offense?

Now it is clear that many of his statements appear to be false. In the
past, Bush's White House has been very good at sweeping ugly issues like
this under the carpet, and out of sight. But it is not clear that they will
be able to make the question of what happened to Saddam Hussein's weapons
of mass destruction (WMDs) go away -- unless, perhaps, they start another war.

Special Report: AIPAC/Likudnik Larry Franklin Arrested for Espionage on
Behalf of Israel

According to the May 5 New York Times, the investigation has proved awkward
for some high level Pentagon conservatives (read neo con) such as former
Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz and Douglas Feith, under secretary
of defense for policy. Feith, under whom Franklin worked, and who
reportedly is leaving his post by the summer, became infamous for creating
the Office of Special Plans that cherrypicked outlandish bits of
intelligence to “prove” that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.
