Lately I didnt have much time to read all the postings here. But I think what I wanted to write is kind of important at least for me.
Pencarian sepasang sandals, what is the right word in malay? Selipar? Dont think so ok what ever..
Since I am going to use my both legs to walk for quite a distance last weekend, I decided to get myself a really nice and comfortable pair of sandals. When we talked about comfortable sandals of course must be leather straps, tapak kasut pulak made from soft rubber so that you wont feel tired after the long journey. .
Jadi bermulalah pencarian sepasang sandal. Since there is a mega sale, I started to look around at the nearest mall. Jumpa one shop dan ada jual sandal yang dikehendaki. Luckily I didnt touch the sandal, it was made from pig skin! Dah lah buy one get one free.!!I didnt dare to tell the sales girls since I was the only Moslem lady in the shop at that time.
Last Friday, kebetulan ada hal with epf headquarters singgah di sogo. Went to first floor, the ladies department looked around..saw one nice sandal, double checked .it was made from pig skin too .i looked around ..nak cakap dgn sape ni? There were many Moslem ladies there ..so I told one sales girl about it. I thought she was a malay girl coz she looks like malay went to other section..finally I found what I was looking for. At the cashier I told the lady about the earlier sandal. Of course she asked me how did I know? I told her I used to travel and live in a few foreign countries; we took great care when it comes to things like this. I even showed her how to identify the pig skin shoes. Luckily she was the manager at that department. She asked one sales girl to remove the shoes from the rack I told her u can sell the shoes but at least put a notice about it to warn the Moslems customers. But she got rid of the shoes .
Thats not all .went to Malacca, we stop buy at mahkota parade I think ( org yang kerja depan mahkota medical cent tu hati2 ok)..was looking for lunch there. Window shopping sekejap masuk dlm sebuah kedai kasut there again another pig skin shoes
Pig skin is a very soft skin. Biasanya digunakan sebgai pelapik dalam handbag/kasut/gloves. Sebab texturenya yang lembut sebab itu ia digunakan utk bahgian dalam bila si pembeli put their hands inside the handbag or gloves akan rasa kelembutannya. What I can see her normally for shoes ia digunakan sebagai pelapik bahagian dalam kasut/sandal not as the outer part. So becareful when you are buying shoes.
Dulu kawan saya sendiri pernah terkena dgn handbag dan gloves ni. Sorang tu was trying to buy YSL handbag..buka inside tengok ada compartment apa kat dalam, zip dalam then beli bawa balik then baru ada kakak senior bagi tau yang u beli tu made from pig skin
Another friend anak tunggal, duit terlebih nak beli gloves made from leather went shopping berkenan dgn this pair of leather gloves. Eee lembutnya..tangan dah masuk dalam gloves .?????? Then the sales girls said ..yes its very soft made from pig skin??????? Padan muka sape?
Dah banyak emails sebelum ni telling how to recognize things made from pig skin so becareful. The 3 dots should be obvious, bukan tiga selari ada bentuk khas. Ada satu lagi jenis 3 dots but kind of an arc so that is not the case the 3 dots of the pig skin is in a very unique design no other animals skin has this type of pattern, so you should notice it in advance.
Just remember the next time u wanted to buy a handbag or shoes look extra careful. Kalau tak pasti apa pun yang ada 3 dots dont buy. Biasanya terletak di bahgian dalam handbag or shoes bukan bahgian luar so you wont touch it easily. It can be in various colors too not in one specific color but what ever color they used the 3 dots stayed there forever cant be removed.
