Over the last few weeks Gaza has been in the
news. Gaza is the most impoverished part of Palestine. Over 50% of the
inhabitants have been unemployed for more than three years. In the past
Muslim Aid has provided humanitarian, educational and medical aid to the
long-suffering people of Gaza.
For people to progress
and prosper they should have access to quality education, particularly
technical. Towards fulfilling this objective Muslim Aid has sponsored an
IT College at the Islamic University of Gaza. So far three floors have
been built including the basement at a cost of GBP200,000. To complete the
construction a further GBP150,000 has been allocated. This college will
provide all courses related to information technology. To equip the
college a further GBP300,000 will be needed. Once it is fully functioning
it will cater for the needs of over 2,000 students.
This is Muslim Aid's
investment in manpower development on behalf of our committed donors.

progress.
