After Hijab Ban, French Muslims Pursue Education Abroad

PARIS, September 3, 2005 (IslamOnline.net) Many French Muslim girls have
enrolled in schools in neighboring European countries or at private schools
at home after denied access to state schools over wearing hijab.

"My daughter went abroad to purse her educational ambitions in an EU
country that respects religious freedom and is in peace with hijab," the
mother of 16-year-old Cennet Doganay told IslamOnline.net.

"It is breaking my heart to see my daughter only on weekends, but we
support her decision to not to take off her hijab," added the mother.

Failing at War, Peace and Dignity

Hurricane Katrina blew off the façade of American society. It pulled back
the curtain to reveal the millions who live in poverty, mostly African
American in New Orleans, but in other cities Latino, Native American, and
white. The most apparent failure of the state has been in emergency
response, but far greater has been the failure to create a stable
existence, a decent society for millions.

An open letter to the little boy in the red shirt

You are in the middle of hell. However, you are loved, I have no doubt in
my mind about that. Your family has cared for you, and god bless them for
that. But the rich and powerful in your city, your state and in this
country, care nothing about you and all the others who live next to you and
who struggle to make it through each and every day. They could care less.

New Orleans crisis shames Americans :

The only difference between the chaos of New Orleans and a Third World
disaster operation, he said, was that a foreign dictator would have
responded better.

How the Free Market Killed New Orleans :

Everyone was expected to devise their own way out of the disaster area by
private means, just as the free market dictates, just like people do when
disaster hits free-market Third World countries.

Impeach Bush Now, Before More Die:

Bush's single-minded focus on the "war against terrorism" has compounded a
natural disaster and turned it into the greatest calamity in American history.

Dangerous Incompetence :

Innocent people are dying daily in this world. In the crush of the
hurricane story, the fact that 950 people (mostly women and children) were
trampled to death in Iraq was buried in the back sections. Those are 950
people who would still be alive if George Bush were not president.

Why the American dream is one of the biggest lies

When Bush is temporarily propped up on two legs by his people, out of his
natural position on all fours with knuckles resting gently on the White
House carpet, to tell the world that his country’s values and people are
worth fighting for, he omits to mention that he doesn’t mean poor people or
black people. Not only is this huge slice of the American public kept
largely invisible, in case it ruins the image of the culture which Bush’s
administration demands countries in “the axis of terrorr” adopt, but even
when such poverty is exposed to the world the US elite has little shame in
publicly holding these stricken citizens in contempt.

WMD existed in "virtual reality"

Which is a polite way of saying it was all make-believe.
This article has an interesting timetable, and while the MSM still fears to
use the word "Lie" when talking about the Bush regime, the timetable shows
clearly how the White House kept pushing for its claims of Iraqi WMDs
despite a total absence of any evidence. What this article failed to
include was the "Dodgy Dossier" and the Downing Street Minutes, which
together with the forged Niger documents proves the lie was deliberate and
intentional with malice aforethought.
