From: "shahid bakar" [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Tue, 27 Sep 2005 08:30:47 +0000 Subject: Court Rejects Woman's Bid To Renounce IslamDear Bros. and Sis,
I was in Singapore last week to attend a seminar. I was surprised when i read The New Straits Times of Singapore dated 20 Sept. at my hotel room and stumble upon the above heading in one of the pages. The above news was reported by a reporter working in KL . It was mentioned that few muslims women (i guess the number is big) wanted to renounce Islam but was rejected by the Malaysia's Court of Appeal. The irony is that, the lawyer who defended them is a Muslim by the name of Haris Ibrahim. He said his clients, are mostly women , aged 22 to 40. Apparently such story are not reported in our mainstream newspapers and the muslim public are not aware such thing is happening. After reading the whole section of this news, i think the situation is worrying. we can never know it will happen to our close families. So make doa to allah that all of us still care to obey Allah rules and be in his safe hands. amin. Regards. Shahid ------------------------ Yahoo!
