"My father's condition is the same as yesterday. He still cannot talk, probably he is too weak,” his daughter Sally told Bernama today. Earlier, he was warded at the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre in Petaling Jaya for chest pains before being transferred to the PMC's Intensive Care Unit on Oct 12. Yesterday, rumours began to spread widely that he had died. The rumours came hours after Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s wife, Endon Mahmood, 64, passed away at 7.55 this morning after a battle against breast cancer. Ghafar has been admitted at the PMC since last Thursday after he was transferred there from the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre where he had been admitted following chest pains.
