Message of Support to Malaysian Students As Mayor of London, I would like to extent a warm welcome to all Malaysian students who have come to the United Kingdom to further their studies. You have chosen a great country to live and study. London in particular is a multinational and multiethnic city. One third of Londoners are from ethnic minorities. London is an exciting cosmopolitan city where students experience and unforgettable educational and cultural experience. London is a truly global venue, where different cultures from around the world come together. This combination is eclectic and exciting for Londoners, students and visitors alike. I am dedicated to celebrating the diversity that makes the UK a thriving and dynamic place to live thanks to many communities that reside here. International students provide and immeasurable finance, culture and social benefit to the higher education sector and the UK. Students from overseas broaden and deepen the educational experience for all students creating valuable links between the UK and the rest of the world. UK Universities receive a large number of international students and as a student here you will receive a high standard of education from these establishments. International students face may challenges adjusting to life in the UK, but I am committed to working with students and institutions to investigate and work through these issues to improve the lives and experiences of students who come to the UK to study.
