A few days ago, Gorodskye Vesti, a city owned newspaper in Volgograd, Russia, published a cartoon depicting the leaders of the four major religions, Muhammad, Jesus, Musa and Sidharta Gautama. The carricature portrays the four religious leaders gathered around television screen showing two groups (of their followers) going into battle. The caption says "We never taught them to do that". But before harvesting protests and demos, the city administration has ordered the closure of the paper. So far it is only one Islamic organization which support the decision of the government. But before that there was no protest or voice of indignation about the cartoon immediately after publication. KM
