THE LIE OF THE CENTURY
As you honor the memory of those who died in battle, you must also ask for what reason were these brave men and women killed? For what noble purpose do thousands of our young people live crippled lives?
Dead because of a lie. Dead because selfish people in government wanted a war and lied to get one, aided by selfish people in the media WHO TOOK MONEY FROM GEORGE BUSH TO LIE TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. The government and the media traded the blood of these young Americans for their personal gain. Look at their faces. How can you not be angry?

9/11: Autopsy: No Arabs on Flight 77
I am an ex Naval line officer and a psychiatrist in private practice in New Orleans, a Christian and homeschool dad. It troubled me a great deal that we rushed off to war on the flimsiest of evidence. I considered various ways to provide a smoking gun of who and why Sept 11th happened. Astute observers noticed right away that there were no Arabic sounding names on any of the flight manifests of the planes that "crashed" on that day.

9/11: Wrongly Detained? Too Bad
No justice, no peace. The phrase is worn from overuse at too many protests of too many wrongs, real or perceived. Still, it is the most apt reaction to the sad and infuriating case of Khaled al-Masri. Masri is a German citizen who was mistakenly seized from a tourist bus en route to the Macedonian capital of Skopje in 2003, then held for five months of what he says was hellish treatment.

What May Come of the Haditha Massacre?
Haditha is the story of what happens in war. Its cruel, unjust, ugly, and criminal. Babies get shot, old women massacred. Get used to it. Its going to get worse before it gets better.
A war built on lies has no morality.

Breaking: Eyewitnesses to the Haditha massacre!!!
The 24 Iraqi civilians slain on Nov. 19 included children and the women who were trying to shield them, witnesses told a Washington Post special correspondent in Haditha this week and U.S. investigators said in Washington. The girls killed inside Khafif's house alone were aged 14, 10, 5, 3 and 1, according to death certificates.
None of this would be happening if Bush had not lied our nation into a war.

Bush and Blair admit to mistakes in Iraq
President George W. Bush and Prime Minister Tony Blair on Thursday night pointedly refused to set a timetable for withdrawal of troops from Iraq, but acknowledged that they had both made mistakes in the country over the last three years since the invasion.
Anyone listening to rhetoric coming from both sides of the Atlantic about a 'drawdown' of troops needs to take a good, hard look at the construction of the huge new US embassy in Iraq (probably the only construction project proceeding on schedule).

Blair says world must forget past and help Iraq
Memo to Prime Minister Blair, President Bush, and Vice-President Cheney: you broke it: you fix it! And frankly, a good would start would be right out of your personal collective wallets. Heck, it would only be the proverbial "drop in the bucket" compared to the devastation we've visited on this country, but it would be a start.

Rumsfeld: War's Sacrifices Tragic, But Necessary
Every U.S. servicemember lost in the global war on terror is a tragedy, but as the United States honors them this Memorial Day, it's important to recognize that some things are worth fighting for, and even dying for, Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld said last night on CNN's "Larry King Live."
Memo to Secretary Rumsfeld: while there are some things worth dying and fighting for, a war launched on a pack of lies is neither worth fighting, nor dying for. And this current conflagration in the Middle East can only end one way: badly.
This has nothing to do with people from this region 'hating us because we're free': it has everything to do with the invasion of a sovereign nation based on no threat whatsoever with which to justify that invasion. Are these people furious with the US? Absolutely, and they have every reason to be.

World is blind to real situation in Iraq: activists
Take a good, hard look at the kid in the accompanying photo, most likely a victim of depleted uranium poisoning. And no, this image hasn't been photoshopped. Now imagine that this is your kid, and the docs (those of them still left) have told you that there's really nothing they can do at this point. Depleted uranium has been used to 'harden' US weapons, and when the dust storms blow, the remnants of this poison go with them. Would you look at people who brought you this disaster as 'liborators' or evil incarnate?

The Iraq war and the truth--between blog and corporate media
In the beginning, when America began beating the drums of war in Iraq, there was no one with the know-how to set up blog sites on the web. The internet existed prior to the war, but in a very limited capacity. Most websites were under security scrutiny from the government, which was intended to bloc access to them. The public had still not been exposed to the secrets of the internet.

Mike Farrell on "Baghdad ER"
I loathe the people who have created this monstrosity. I want the criminals who lied and cheated and pretended and twisted and perverted reality - and those who rationalized their crimes - so they could send over 2400 servicemen and woman to their death, nearly 18,000 to come home torn - some never to be whole again - thousands more to suffer mental damage, and tens of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians to be swept into the garbage can of "collateral damage," to pay. These bastards and their apologists should be stripped naked and forced to walk the main streets of America, allowing every city and town that has lost a loved one to injury or death in this shameful catastrophe to heap on them the scorn they deserve.

Israeli soldiers target ambulances, even those carrying women in labor
The northern West Bank city of Nablus remains under siege. A 21 year old woman nearly lost her baby while stuck in an ambulance this morning. Israeli soldiers occupying Nablus held the Palestinian ambulance for hours in the eastern part of the city. Soldiers stopped the Red Crescent ambulance on Karibatha Street. Eyewitnesses said that it was a miracle that prevented the woman and 45 year old driver Jitit Anton from being gunned down. Israeli soldiers opened direct fire on the ambulance early Saturday.

One Man's Constitutional Crisis ...
Republicans and Democrats in the House of Representatives have achieved an almost unprecedented level of bipartisanship in denouncing the FBI's search of a congressman's office. They talk angrily about the separation of powers and the implications of having an executive branch agency make a foray into a lawmaker's official space. Our first question is where all these concerned constitutionalists have been for the last five years.

Will Your Vote Count in 2006?
Posted May 27, 2006 12:20 PM PST - Category: VOTE FRAUD
How bad are the problems? Experts are calling them the most serious voting-machine flaws ever documented. Basically the trouble stems from the ease with which the machine's software can be altered. It requires only a few minutes of pre-election access to a Diebold machine to open the machine and insert a PC card that, if it contained malicious code, could reprogram the machine to give control to the violator.
