9/11: Kicked out of Gitmo
In the worst of times this past week, for example those quotidian discomforts can be compounded by an invasion of mating crabs skittering into your dormitory, a Pentagon power play that muzzles already reluctant sources and an unceremonious expulsion to Miami on a military plane, safety-belted onto whatever seat is available. In this case, that seat was the toilet.
During WW2, the Germans allowed inspectors from the Red Cross to visit, and even leave officials stationed at, all the camps.
What has the US been doing that they fear exposure so?

Dictatorship: U.S. learns to live with less freedom
"People are more afraid of terror than having their privacy violated," says Tomasso, chair of the New Hampshire Liberty Alliance. "For so long the rhetoric has been about fear, not hope and more traditional American values."
When a live frog is boiled slowly, it doesn't know it's in deep trouble until it is too late. The American public has been so collectlively 'slowly boiled' with fearmongering rhetoric that the vast majority cannot even articulate the civil liberties which have been hacked away by this administration.

When Israels interests are being considered, Members of Congress act like trained poodles.
In the study, they conclude that the flagrant, longstanding pro-Israel bias in U.S. Middle East policy has enabled Israel to tilt U.S. policy in ways that benefit Israel to the disadvantage of U.S. national interests, luring America even into costly wars and a rising tide of ill fame worldwide. They pin much of the blame on the influence of Israels U.S. lobby. One of their most significant conclusions: The U.S. has a terrorism problem in good part because it is so closely allied with Israel.

Iraq: US military airforce strikes at residential quarters in Ramadi
Hundreds of US occupation forces, aided by Iraqi armed forces, are on rampage in Ramadi. The troops are controlling all access points to the city which has been cordoned off since 10 June, deprived of water and electricity. US military airforce is repeatedly striking at residential areas, while ground forces roam through the streets calling on the residents to evacuate the city. Sheikh Fassal Jaoud, former governor of the Anbar province declared the situation is catastrophic and residents fear the US occupation forces are planning a mass offensive like that on Falluja in November 2004, saying "the fearful city is haunted by memories of the battles that raged in nearby Fallujah in 2004.
They don't hate us 'because we're free': every instance where another massacre takes place is brilliant recruiting tool for the insurgents.

Israel: The Assassins
When John J. Mearsheimer, professor of political science at the University of Chicago and the heavyweight of the realist school of international affairs, and Stephen M. Walt, former dean of Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government, published their now famous essay on "The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy," the outcry from all the usual suspects was stupendous. After all, the professors had unapologetically said what everyone knows to be true: that U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East is geared to Israeli and not American interests. It is a case of altruism sui generis.

Israelis Hold Keys To NSA/US Military Computer Networks
The marketing manager at Ptech, Inc. when the company started in the mid-1990s, however, was not a Muslim or an Arab, but an American Jewish lawyer named Michael S. Goff who had suddenly quit his law firm for no apparent reason and joined the Arab-run start-up company.
Goff was the company's information systems manager and had single-handedly managed the company's marketing and "all procurement" of software, systems and peripherals. He also trained the employees. Goff was obviously the key person at Ptech.
In the wake of 9/11, during the Citizens' Commission hearings in New York, Indira Singh, a consultant who had worked on a Defense Advanced Research Project, pointed to Ptech and MITRE Corp. being involved in computer "interoperability issues" between the FAA and NORAD. At this time Ptech's ties to Arabs was the focus, and Goff was out of the picture.
