Responsibility:
q
To research, analyze, and summarize
information from various sources in specific Shariah issues required by the
Bank.
q
To collect fatwas from reliable sources and
create indexes of the fatwas.
q
To assist in ensuring adherence of Shariah
Compliance manual from both Shariah Committee member and the
Bank.
q
Provide basic and elementary Islamic Based
information to the staff of the Bank through writings, emails and
articles.
q
To ensure that the formulation of policies
and products concepts, manuals and its applications are being done in a manner,
that is approved by the Shariah Committee
q
To provide advisory (in accordance to Shariah
Committees decisions and views) on Shariah matters in the RHB Group and Islamic
business operation by assisting related parties on Shariah matters for advice
upon request.
q
To work with other Division especially
Corporate Banking, Commercial, Consumer, Auto and Corporate Finance Divisions in
ensuring their products concept and features are comply with Shariah
principles. (Inclusive of Non Performing Account and
others)
q
To respond to
Shariah issues highlighted by public and industry, which are related to the Bank
by writings or lectures. (either by request by the management or base on the
needs ).
q
Collaboration in
the formulation of legal documentation with special focus on the Shariah
Compliance aspects and linkages with lawyers.
q
Liase with various
departments on procedures, product features, sales training and tracking of
products performance.
q
Assist in promoting
Islamic Banking products and to entrench Islamic Banking Operation in the Bank
by providing presentation tools, training, branch support and
FAQ.
q
Act as liaison with
external parties on matters relating to Islamic Banking
products.
q
Contribute to the
development of sales and service culture and create awareness about Islamic
Banks staff.
q
Maintain comprehensive
and ongoing understanding of market information of Islamic Banking products by
reviewing the Banks existing products to determine its
competitiveness.
Requirements:
q
Possess a relevant degree
(bachelor or Masters) in Shariah or Fiqh Muamalat , any
experience in banking operations with exposure in Islamic banking product
development will be added advantage.
q
Strong in both written
and verbal communication in English and Arabic ( minimum : has knowledge in
basic Arabic).
q
Good time management,
planning and organizing skills.
q
Must be creative,
energetic and have a flexible working
style.
q
Good interpersonal skills
and ability to interact well with external parties and all level of
employees.
q
Computer literate and
must be conversant with Microsoft Office skills and
tools.
