Salam.
My friend, Datin Sofwanah is going (yet again) to a very remote kampung in
Solo later this week with her sister. There are about 850 people living in that
village and they are deprived of water supply. The nearest water supply
available is about 3km away, with no proper road to get there. The kampung folk
will have to (mostly) walk to get their water supply for basic needs such as
cooking and washing up. Just imagine how much water can one carry over that
distance..... we are so blessed!
So during this trip, Datin sofwanah and her sister plan to install a water
pump for them. It costs about RM2000. If you have a little pity for these poor
kampung folks, kindly deposit your donations into her daughter's Maybank
account #1141-2362-1950 in the name of Suriati Katrina bt Mohamed Kamal. If
each one of us chip in a small amount, we can make this project a reality that
will benefit 850 lives!
