Buaya jantan yang tidak mendapat pasangan pada musim ini akan berhijrah ke muara sungai lain melalui jalan laut untuk mencari buaya betina yang lain. Buaya juga berhijrah melalui laut apabila habitatnya terganggu untuk mencari tempat baru. Dalam beberapa kes buaya menyerang manusia dengan menggigit pergelangan kaki seperti beberapa kes di bawah.
