Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (RadhiAllaho anho) narrates
that indeed Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said:
Du'a (supplication) of a slave (of Allah)
continues to be accepted,
until he prays for something sinful,
or something that severs the ties of kinship;
provided he is not impatient.
It was asked:
O Rasulallah!
(Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)
What is impatience?
He (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said:
The slave says:
I invoked and indeed I invoked again,
but I saw no response.
Then he becomes frustrated,
and gives up supplication.
