Hi David, I do you one better: not only is it possible for a local app (written in Java or anything else) to launch a selector, but the best way to do this is for the client app to use the Higgins Selector Switch [1]. The user then has a choice of launching CardSpace or a Higgins-based selector.
I understand that you wish to call the selector from a Java app, but (since the HSS stuff is OS-specific) it would be helpful to know what operating system(s) you¹re thinking about. So we can help you more specifically. Since this HSS stuff is an area of active development, I¹m afraid that the code in the SVN has outstripped the wiki doc at the moment, but we¹re working on fixing up the HSS entries in the wiki (including, for example, how the HSS components are described in [1,2]) [1] http://wiki.eclipse.org/Higgins_Selector_Switch (out of date) [2] http://wiki.eclipse.org/Components_1.1 (out of date) --Paul On 9/21/09 4:40 AM, "David Campos" <[email protected]> wrote: > Hello all, > > I would like to ask you a brief help in a matter I've been asked.
