The article suggests that it is difficult for private schools to offer equitable education to students and discrimination against 'rte students' happens. government and government aided schools can be in a position to offer such equitable education to all and provide opportunities to all sections of society. Else the increasing privatisation will only cause more divisions / stratification in society. For this however, teachers may need to diversify their teaching methods (and learning materials) to be able to meet the learning needs of students coming from different sections of society. The methods that work for children from the middle class would not necessarily work for those from marginalized groups... Digital technologies could play a role here by providing teacher options to be creative with materials and methods.
