I guess it was the index numbering after all. Apperently there were
two changes: an update and more content.

I emptied the directory: in the beginning my batch enters about 23
items in a minute, after 600 the batch enters only 3 or 4 items a
minute. I dont think 600 is an extreme quantity,  I didnt expect it to
be such a difference.

So now I am looking into working with the commitChangedNoIndex() and
the createInRepositoryNoIndex(). I will let you know what is going on.
