Hi Dennis,

well theoretically out should be possible to remove the cleaner, but it's preferred to keep it. The cleaner validates against a XHTML strict 1.0 dtd as far as I know, so you can add anything you want, but as long as it's not in the strict spec, it will not save it into the repository.

This has been on my personal wish list for more then a couple of months, but things have been too busy to pick this up.

What you could do is change checkout the code and create a custom version of the cleaner for your project.

The htmlcleaner project is part of a wiki framework that also uses Cocoon as it's webapplication framework.

You can get the trunk code from:

http://svn.cocoondev.org/repos/daisy/trunk/daisy/services/htmlcleaner/ or otherwise get one of the tags from their SVN repository.

Regards,

Jeroen

Hello All,

I have a question about the HTML clearer. We want to have the
possibility to add google map snippets, and youtube videos, that kind of
stuff. However, the clearer removes a lot of these tags. We tried
configuring the clearer, but this is a tough job. Is there a way, like
sample configuration scripts or a plugin, with which we can configure
the clearer?
Does turning off the clearer as a whole have any negative impact?
