I did the same what you said.
I have edited the following HippoSimpleXmlExtractor to my
"extractors.xml" file
<extractor classname="nl.hippo.slide.extractor.HippoSimpleXmlExtractor"
uri="/files/default.preview/polls" content-type="text/xml | text/xml;
charset=UTF-8 | application/xml">
<configuration>
<instruction property="hoofdnieuws"

</extractor>
NB the xpath is good..
Then I opened/saved the documents,
But my dasl query still didn't work..
My dasl query looks like this:
