Let's add these settings to the default configuration. They won't do any
harm and prevent some nasty errors on networks with (strange) network
timeouts.
Bartosz, can you create a jira issue for this?

They say switching from commons dbcp to C3P0 and set the following
parameter:
idleConnectionTestPeriod
I don't see why you need to switch to C3P0, as DBCP[0] can do the same,
add the following three lines to the projectWorkflowDataSource bean:
<property name="testWhileIdle"><value>true</value></property>
<property name="validationQuery"><value>SELECT 1</value></property>
<property
name="timeBetweenEvictionRunsMillis"><value>600000</value></property>
This is a configuration we use in production with quite a few customers.
