Hi Arjen,

Some extra info to get the dav2disk tool working. The steps are:

1. Check out the code:
svn co http://svn.hippocms.org/repos/hippo/hippo-tools/hippo-dav2disk/trunk dav2disk

2. Install the javadist plugin:
maven -Dversion=1.01.00 -DartifactId=hippo-javadist-plugin -DgroupId=hippo-javadist-plugin plugin:download -Dmaven.repo.remote=http://repository.hippocms.org/maven

3. Build the tool from the root of the checkout (dav2disk)
maven

You now should have a target/Dav2Disk-1.01.01-dev folder with two batch scripts "run.bat" and "run.sh" (one for windows and one for linux) and a folder "config".

4. Configure the tool: edit config/dav2disk.properties. Set the correct properties for your repository and:

repository.path=/files/default.preview
is the path from which to "download" (in your case you probably need /files)

And:
filesystem.path=data
is the (relative) local path to download the repository to.

5. run the tool from the target/Dav2Disk-1.01.01-dev folder:
"run.bat download" or "./run.sh download"

6. You now should have a folder data/ with the contents of your repository.

7. Zip your data folder and copy the tool and the data to the target machine and unzip your data folder on the target machine.

8. Adjust the dav2disk properties to match your target repository.

9. Run the dav2disk tool to upload the contents from data/ to the target repository:
"run.bat upload" or "./run.sh upload".

That should do it.

Regards,
Bart

I'm afraid there isn't much more doc than in the readme (yet). It
shouldn't be too dificult though.. Let me know if you run into some
troubles.
