I've been unable to reproduce this behaviour using the same version of
the java adapter and hst toolkit you're using. Here everything seems to
invalidate correctly.

Which page/jsp of your frontend do you experience this behaviour with?
And in the above test, did you request the document and property
directly? Or were they the results of a DASL?
