We always use mod_proxy(_http), but you probably also can use mod_jk.

It doesn't sound like that't your problem though. Can you find anything in the logs of the CMS?

It looks like something is wrong with your jdbc mysql configuration:

java.sql.SQLException: Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using

That should at least fix your quartz error.
