I'm using Hippo Repository 1.2.15. I used the wiki page[1] in order
to install and configure.
The repo works good, but I can't configure the directory "activemq-data".
By default this directory is created in the same position where tomcat
is launched.

Like Bart said, we haven't found a solution yet ourselves. I'm not even
sure it is at all possible within tomcat as tomcat does not contain
support for JCA.

The below is *not* a solution for your problem, but might be an
acceptable workaround.

Use JBoss instead.[0]

This is very easy to do within an application container such as JBoss,
where you can deploy ActiveMQ as a resource archive.[1]
