Hi,

This post is more or less a sequel to a post of Yomo (
http://lists.hippo.nl/pipermail/hippocms-dev/2008-December/005792.html).

We need to be able to search for al kinds of variations (with or without
accents) of a word. So if a property contains the Dutch word 'ideeën' we
need to be able to find the document if it is searched for using 'ideeën'
and 'ideeen'. What I come up with is a specialized analyzer that uses the
ISOLatin1AccentFilter. As accepted when the DASL query contains 'ideeen' the
documents are found correctly. (Removeing the accents from the user input
just before the search is performed is not the issue!)

The downside of this scenario is that whe need a new deployment of our
repository and probably need to recreate the indexes. The later is not a big
problem, a new deployment is (we are on a tight release schedule).

Is there a way of dynamicly (via configuration through dasl-indexer.xml)
adding the ISOLatin1AccentFilter to an exsiting Analyzer OR is there another
way of getting the same result.

Thanks in advance

Nico Tromp
