I'm not the expert on this part, but isn't the idea behind using an LDAP
server is that you want to centralize the user management?
I mean I guess you only want to manage the users/groups from the LDAP
server (not from the CMS) and attach these users to a specific role
within Hippo CMS.

here to configure Repo with LDAP.
But when I to create a user or group using the CMS, its resulting in
"HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden: Access denied on /roles/testgroup by user
/users/root for action /actions/write"
Do I need to modify any permissions in data.xml
Any help is greatly appreciated.
