We do either IHC or a Modified Steiner, depending on the Pathologist's preference. We switched to Newcomer Supply's Steiner-Chapman Modified Silver Stain Kit about a year ago, because it eliminated the use of Uranyl Nitrate. We have been delighted with the consistency of the stain.
