Leica Bond Rx and clipped corner slides

Hello Teri,

We also had a problem with the clipped corner slides and the covertiles. When
we switched to 90 degree corners, all was well.

Hello all,
We need to replace two of our Mopec saws. We perform
necropsies on many large species, (bovine, draft horses, zoo animals), and
are looking for a vendor who can give us a deal on the purchase of two
sturdy autopsy saws that will stand up to heavy use. We are a veterinary
teaching hospital, and our budget is limited.
Cheers!
Sandy

Hello Sandra,

if you need very high quality pathology saws we recommend the machines from
EXAKT. We have three of them in our lab and use them for pathology
sectioning as well as for cutting grinding techniques. They work with a
diamond band and there are several kinds of diamond bands available.

The website of EXAKT you can find here:
https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fexaktusa.com%2Fpathology-equipment%2F&data=02%7C01%7Cmark.pawlowski%40jefferson.edu%7C485372c711744f19d31408d5a61710ab%7C55a89906c710436bbc444c590cb67c4a%7C0%7C0%7C636597540358494947&sdata=hgjoXfKltEoK7T4aJFMbMnd75274kYYg9PkEANF4j54%3D&reserved=0

You can contact Linda Durbin ([email protected]), I think she can
give you a local contact.

With best regards
Michael

Hi Histonetters,

Leica is recommending not to use clipped corner slides on their Bond Rx
instrument. I know there are labs out there who use this instrument and may
also use clipped corner slides in their slide printer. For those labs, do you
have any problem with covertiles not working properly as a result of using
clipped corner slides?

Thanking you in advance,

Teri Johnson, HT(ASCP)QIHC
