There are old milestones of stone pillars scattered around Finland, and upon a trip I came upon a series of them and decided to map them for their historical value. I'm left wondering how their informational aspect should be turned into parameters of OSM tags, since they only display the distance "left" and the distance "right" (photo: http://i.imgur.com/OTgv5sF.jpg). An old abandoned proposal 'Milestones' http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposed_features/Milestones suggests 'distance=00' or 'pk=00', but that covers only one direction. The tags 'destination=' and 'origin=' also wouldn't work, since those depend entirely on your direction of travel. Are there any ideas or proposals? Should the tags just be 'left/right=00', or a form of 'inscription=<- 00|00 ->'?
