Thank you for taking the time for the pointers, Jeff. I see a small collection of high-level issues at https://github.com/OpenHistoricalMap/OpenHistoricalMap/issues/ (though items titled "Investigate..." may be unhelpfully high-level ;)
As well as the detail on the website and API here, including the request to limit API contributions to items tagged with a start_date https://github.com/OpenHistoricalMap/ohm-website/issues/11 I personally don't feel you're missing organisational tools, just as you point out, the time to curate and present what you've already got. A "State of Open Historical Map" update post to submit to weeklyosm and other places sounds good to me. - Jo On Wed, Feb 25, 2015, at 08:32 PM, Jeff Meyer wrote: > Hi Jo > > Thanks for this note - you are correct that it's a little too tricky > to figure out how to help out with OHM. > > I am overdue to put out some updates & to set up the next hangout, but > improving OHM organization is a goal for this year. > > Right now, the best place to look for what to do is github, but that's > only good for coding and we have many other needs, too.
