Test version now live at: openhistoricalmap.github.io/iD/id/ - 82 historical background maps provided by National Library of Scotland - New help section(someone needs to fix my grammar/make sure I'm not crazy :-P ) - Start/end date and source fields + related
Known issue: - description for end_date is not what we want, iD gets this from TagInfo that gets it from the Wiki(https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:end_date), has no idea what to do about it, iD can't provide a description it seams and creating or own TagInfo instance is overkill(and would still pick end_date from the OSM Wiki). - At least one of the new backgrounds returns 404 responses... Bugs, issues and ideas can be reported at Github( https://github.com/OpenHistoricalMap/iD/issues) or here at the mailing list. // Albin 2015-04-10 1:56 GMT+02:00 Burrito Justice <[email protected]>: > > > > On Apr 9, 2015, at 2:32 PM, Jeff Meyer <[email protected]> wrote: > > > > Do you have any thoughts on moving to a vector tile approach and > filtering locally? > > Per Jeff's comment on vector tiles, I just started working at Mapzen. > Everything is open source, so it might be possible to run an instance and > have it ingest & push out OHM instead of OSM.
