If you want to pitch in for OHM without too much overhead, > consider spending 5 mins to write a cron script to keep your own > backup of the OHM planet file. i am looking at ways to minimize the bandwidth used while making complete backups and will share the solution once i arrive at it. right now, i'm building an Ubuntu 16.04 VM to run barman which may prove to be a very good solution. barman uses a method that i've rolled out by hand in the past for postgresql which copies uncompressed dumps using rsync, which turns out to minimize bandwidth utilization amazingly well.
