Raghotham Murthy updated HIVE-657:
----------------------------------
Attachment: hive-657.1.patch
The change is fairly straight forward. Just execute contents of .hiverc before
running any query. We should probably restrict the contents of hiverc to set
commands. But, for now, I am blindly executing everything in .hiverc. This is
probably good enough.
> .hiverc would be nice

> It would be great if the hive CLI would execute ~/.hiverc on load, if it
> exists. There are some commands I would like to set every time I run hive.
> This is especially important in light of
> https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-243 as I often end up re-loading
> the CLI and then forgetting to re-set certain variables.
