There was one small thing about using chat... The thing is that with JIRA the records of all the decisions, trade offs and discussions are available for people to see later. I am not sure whether we will have the same level of historical trace with chat and this channel may over time cannibalize the JIRA channel in the sense that there may be a tendency for the people to put up the final decision on the JIRA instead of all the discussions...
