I don't think there is much difference in CLI queries and JDBC queries. Yes, this is what I am talking about. Since your query has 2 map-reduce jobs, there will be two .xml files. Can you show us the second one? Does the second one also contains "<...>compressed<...>true<...>" in the section of FileSinkOperator?
