BuilderFactory reports InvocationTargetException, not real exception

If there is an error when the BuilderFactory invokes the service's initializer
method, it reports the InvocationTargetException, rather than the excpetion
wrapped by the ITE. Likewise, if an exception is thrown from the constructor.
