Assalamualaikum wrt to all netters...
The intention to seperate politics from Islam reflects ones
understanding of Islam.
Islam is not like any other religion, where for other religion than
Islam it believe that religion only concerns the individual and
god.
But to a muslim, Islam is Ad -Din which when translated means
Islam to a muslim(believer) is a way of life .It concerns the
individual relationship with God All Mighty, with other human
beings(society - politics), with animals and plants , with the environment
(both on earth and the heaven-sky) and also not forgetting with
oneself.
So to seperate politics and Islam and to make it a man-made law,
truly infringe ones right to practise one owns religion which
is guranteed by Malysia's constitution. Supporting such an idea to
make a law to seperate Islam from politics truly reflects ones
choice to respect and uphold man-made law rather than to adhere to
God's law , and certainly this will ' membatalkan aqidah ' - make
that person no more a believer.
Do we wish to repeat history, like what has happen to the Ottoman empire
in Turkey which by law has seperated Islam from poltics and we can see
now what is happening to Turkey. Please think seriously about this issue
because it will affect not only oneself but also our loved ones and also
our country and most important our fate in the hereafter.
