PAS to have third veep and enlarged central committee
KUALA LUMPUR: PAS has decided to have a third
vice-president and increase its central working
committee members to 24 from the current 18, party
president Datuk Fadzil Noor said.
"The posts will be open for contest at our assembly
next year,'' he told newsmen after launching the
Harakah Web TV here yesterday.
Claiming to have 800,000 members, Fadzil said PAS had
bigger responsibilities towards its supporters and
members.
Currently, PAS has two vice-presidents--Ustaz Hassan
Shukri, a senator, and Mustapha Ali, a Terengganu
executive council member.
Fadzil said the decision was taken at the PAS central
committee meeting on Sunday.
He also said that the assembly would be open to all
media
