          PAS : KE ARAH PEMERINTAHAN ISLAM YANG ADIL
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Assalamu'alaikum,
Don't worry, be happy.  Everything will be alright.
Lepas ni mungkin pub2, the ship, night-club akan
dikunjungi oleh lebih ramai orang2 Islam kerana tidak
ada kebimbangan lagi dicekup?  Hasil cukai arak mungkin
meningkat, sapa tau. Terima kasih kepada Dolah Badawi,
Abu Hassan, Piem, dll kerana sungguh open minded dan
liberal dalam menangani kes ini.
Jais pun satu hal...undang2 tu bukan untuk di
laksanakan. Ianya hanya untuk hiasan saja.  Lain kali
jangan lebih sudu dari kuah. Nak buat apa2 tanya dulu.
Kalau merosakkan ekonomi dan imej negara jangan buat.
Rosak Islam..err benda sensitif jgn dibangkitkanlah.
Tak belajar2 dari apa yang terjadi pada bekas mufti.
Kerja lain banyak lagi.
Tengok di Waterworld, ada tanda amaran tudung tak
dibenarkan kalau nak naik gelunsur - WAJIB BUKAK. Tak
ada pun tindakan menghina Islam.  Lepas ni undang
syariah selangor akan diseragamkan dengan negeri lain.
Apa makna seragam tak tahulah. Mungkin macam ahli
pancaragam kot - sorang tak buat semua tak buat. Serah
kan aje perlaksanaannya pada pimpinan yang arif pasal
Islam macam Dolah Badawi - dia amat tahu mana yang
tepat mana yang tersasar.
Ranap. Ranap.
Wassalam
MM Highlight: Happy note likely...– to controversy
over Jais raid on PJ pub
By JAD MAHIDIN, BADROLHISHAM BIDIN and HARNY ABU KHAIR
28 June 2000
THE controversy over a pub raid by the Selangor
Religious Department (Jais) may end on a happy note,
after all.
The good news goes to those detained for being present
in a place where alcoholic drinks are served, and this
include the house band singer.
According to sources, the positive development came
about in a high-powered meeting at Istana Mestika in
Shah Alam yesterday.
It was held among the Regent of Selangor Tengku Idris
Shah, Deputy Menteri Besar Datuk Dr Zainal Abidin
Ahmad, State Mufti Datuk Mohd Tamyes Abdul Wahid, State
Religious Department (Jais) director Mansur Ramli and
three enforcement officers involved in the June 11 raid
on The Ship Restaurant and Pub in Damansara Utama.
Also present were State Secretary Datuk Ambrin Buang
and State Legal Adviser Zawawi Salleh.
In the hour-long meeting at the palace, it is learnt
that the Regent was given the full picture on the
incident.
Following discussions on all aspects of the case and
its implications, an “understanding” was reached among
all parties present, according to the sources.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Abu Hassan Omar also visited
the Regent earlier yesterday for his weekly report on
State matters.
Today, Abu Hassan will bring up results of the meetings
at the State Executive Council meeting in Shah Alam and
then make a public announcement on it. (See
accompanying story)
It is also learnt that the Regent had asked for a full
report on the case from the Petaling Jaya police on
Monday.
In the controversial incident, 10 men and 15 women were
detained by Jais officers who were accompanied by Rela
personnel and State enforcement officers. They were
taken to the Damansara Utama police station for their
statements.
All the men, including the band members, were later
released with recommendations to attend religious
counselling.
The women, who included singer Azlina Abbas, waitresses
and patrons, are expected to be charged under Section
10 of the Selangor Syariah Crime Enactment 1995 at the
Syariah Court on Sept 13 for insulting Islam by “being
in the premises where alcohol is served.”
