Nampaknya semakin ramai orang umno yang mula berani membuka mulut sebagai
contoh ketua divisyen umno Kuala Kedah yang meletakkan sebab kegagalan BN
diLunas kepada kepimpinan Umno.
Katanya lagi pengundi Cina pada mulanya memihak kepada BN sehinggalah
kenyataan keras terhadap kumpulan Cina. Siapa lagi kalau tak mulut Mahathir
lah puncanya?

'Develop culture of fighting for what is right'
KUALA LUMPUR: Umno Youth has called the party to develop a culture to fight
for what is right and to oppose wrong irrespective of the dictates of any of
its leaders.
Deputy Youth chief Datuk Aziz Sheikh Fadzir said the interest of the people
must be given priority.
"Umno is not run by one man. Everyone had better be serious about this or it
will surely lose its position and will not be able to attract new members.
"I for one, don't want to be associated with failure,'' he said here
yesterday.
He said Barisan Nasional's defeat in the Lunas by-election was mainly due to
the wrong choice of candidate, the failure of component parties including
Umno to explain clearly issues related to the Chinese, the Government's
failure to provide adequate infrastructure and the opposition's dirty
campaigning.
In Alor Star, Kuala Kedah Umno division chief Datuk Zakaria Said blamed the
Umno leadership for the defeat of Barisan in Lunas.
He said Chinese voters were with the Barisan until strong statements were
made against Chinese groups.
