Police Urged To Be Careful In Making Arrests
PETALING JAYA, March 15 (Bernama) -- Works Minister Datuk Seri
S.Samy Vellu has urged the police to be more careful in making arrests in
connection with the clashes in the Jalan Klang Lama area so that the
innocent would not be inconvenienced.
He said some villagers were picked up by police on mere suspicion
although they were not involved in any fights.
"This has caused inconvenience and I urge the police to be more careful
in carrying out their duties," he told reporters after visiting a squatter
settlement in Jalan Klang Lama yesterday. -- BERNAMA
